We rang in the new year with this precious couple, Esther and Peter who celebrated an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. As the two laid eyes on each other for the first time on their wedding day, my heart was warmed beyond words. Their genuine love and excitement to be embarking on the journey of marriage together was obvious as it was endearing. Their worship filled ceremony started the celebration with reverence and joy. The party continued at 2941 Restaurant where the couple was surprised by the bride’s brother in law with a beautiful song played by electric violin. There was a special giving away of the bride’s bouquet and games that celebrated the couple in their new endeavor as husband and wife. Esther and Peter, what a joy it was to be your wedding photographer and document the special moments of your day. Many blessings to you two!:)2941 Wedding Photography_00072941 Wedding Photography_00072941 Wedding Photography_00072941 Wedding Photography_00072941 Wedding Photography_00072941 Wedding Photography

One of my favorite things about wedding photography is meeting my clients for the first time and learning more about their love story. When I first met Janet and Gary, I felt at home with them right away. They shared about how they met on a semi-group blind date through a mutual friend and despite some miscommunications and late arrivals ;), there was a second date, and fast forward to a surprise trip to Cape Cod a few years later – they are now happily engaged! They took me back to where Gary first asked Janet to be his girlfriend, Washington DC. We traveled Ubered through different locations starting at one of my faves, the National Gallery of Art, then chased the sun as it came down on the nation’s capital. And though the city was busy and bustling for a Friday evening, it felt like we were the only ones there (besides some admiring passerbyers every now and then). So excited to be documenting this couple’s love story and to celebrate with them next year on their big day! Washington DC Engagement | Janet + GaryWashington DC Engagement | Janet + GaryNational Gallery of Art | DC Engagement PhotographyTidal Basin at Sunset | Washington DC Engagement PhotographyDC Engagement Photography
