There are no words to describe this breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains Fall Engagement session, but this love story is one that will warm your heart during this new season!
Jimin and Bao first crossed paths at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County when Bao and a friend visited the campus. At the time, Jimin had no idea she would be meeting her future forever love and didn’t think twice about their interaction. Two years later, the soon-to-be lovebirds reconnected at a music festival with mutual friends. It was then things started to change, as they began talking each day and visiting often, falling more and more for each other!
As time went on, the two were realizing their love for one another was growing abundantly. Bao admired how considerate and caring Jimin was towards others, constantly putting their needs before hers. Since the beginning of their relationship, Jimin always saw how Bao was the most patient, understanding, and loyal man she had ever met. This growing love developed as the two shared a home together, and Bao knew it was time to make things official.
Bao began planning the perfect New Years proposal in Old Town Alexandria. On that chilly night, the couple went to a romantic dinner in Georgetown then headed for the waterfront. Although Jimin wanted to escape the weather, Bao was determined to surprise her with the engagement. The two swapped memories over the past year and fantasized about the day they would wed. When the time was right, Bao dropped to one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Overwhelmed with love and joy, Jimin proudly accepted, and the two spent the night enjoying the nighttime fireworks!
Jimin and Bao celebrated their big milestone with an engagement session in Bluemont, Virginia. We spent the day walking amongst the fresh air, crisp trees, and of course, stunning Blue Ridge Mountains. Jimin sported a deep red gown that was absolutely flawless, especially paired with her delicate blush florals. The calligrapher and cake artist showcased some of her spectacular pieces during the session as well! The couple shared a small picnic during our time together, full of some of their favorite treats. They also paid tribute to their wonderful dog, Rocky who sadly passed over the rainbow bridge a few months ago. We know how precious and loved he was, so it was important that he be part of the photoshoot as well. Being a bystander to their love that day is a moment I will forever cherish.
With their November 2018 wedding quickly on its way, the two are excited to share their big day with their closest friends and family. The hope for their day to be a classic, elegant, and fun event at Union Trust in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – of course an amazing venue for such an incredible couple! They are so excited to began their beautiful marriage and continue traveling, hiking, and trying new foods.
Jimin and Bao – it’s so hard to believe that your wedding day is right around the corner. You two have been such a blessing to work with, and I cannot wait to see you again on one of the best days of your lives!
