What can I say, they had me at “Shenandoah”.
When I first met with Joanna and Dennis, it was like love at first client meeting. Let me explain. 🙂
Their love was one that was evident just from being with them, and even more so in the way they looked at each other, the way that they retold their story (cue the heartmelt). I was impressed with the vision they had for their wedding day, not just stylistically but also the consideration they had for their guests, and the intricate wedding details they had planned around their gorgeous venue, a vineyard in Virginia. Joanna, a very talented artist, is creating all the stationary and signage for her wedding day, including water color drawings of the venue. Amazing! So of course, it was only natural for her to bring her beautiful stationery work to be photographed and what an honor it was to document some her lovely pieces!
Their requested engagement session location was Skyline Drive, a place where they frequent to hike, get creative inspiration, or just get away for a short while. It is located in Shenandoah National Park with a breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Any mountain or beautiful landscape quickly becomes my favorite! A couple so in love, requesting a mountain top engagement, who emphasize the importance of wedding details? Sigh.. case in point! I’m still on cloud nine. 😉
Joanna and Dennis, what a blessing it is to be a small part of your journey to marriage. Your engagement session was such a dream and you two are a dream to work with! Cannot wait to capture the beautiful moments of your wedding in a few months!
