Marvelous weather, outstanding green backdrops, and the cutest couple made this Glenview Mansion engagement session a definite fall favorite!
Rachel and Richy met through church where Rachel played on the softball team. Richy was not a part of the church at the time, but came to visit one of the games with his best friends. After being asked to unexpectedly join the game and meeting Rachel, Richy discovered her contagious laugh was one that he needed to get to know. Him and his two friends, Josh and Amanda, set out to join the two hearts.
The trio planned several game nights to provide more opportunities to bring Rachel and Richy together. One particular night, Richy showed off his skills by playing the piano and singing during Amanda’s birthday party. Richy thought he had swooned his future bride, as she had come to tears during his performance. As luck would have it, Rachel was actually having an allergic reaction to Amanda’s dogs! This did not stop others noticing that the two were simply perfect for one another, however.
As time went on, they realized people were probably right about them. Rachel and Richy had countless nights talking on the phone through the early hours of the morning and spending more of their time together. They cannot recall the exact moment they knew this love would last a lifetime; rather, they both experienced a feeling neither had before. The dynamic Rachel and Richy share is unique and is grounded by patience, kindness, and true connectivity.
The couple says their proposal was unexpected and definitely unplanned! Rachel began cleaning Richy’s room one night (as he had helped her many times before) and discovered a notebook filled with song lyrics. Richy had written these to her while she was away for two weeks in Morocco and Boston. She was overwhelmed with the love she felt from reading the sweet lyrics that she asked him, “Will you marry me?” To her surprise, Richy responded, “Well, do you want your ring now?” He promptly got down on his knee, and the two cried tears of joy as they started the next chapter of their amazing story.
To celebrate the occasion, Rachel and Richy chose to do a Glenview Mansion engagement session. Although the property is quite charming on its own, the touches of deep red and graceful pinks they brought truly added a touch of romance. My favorite part of the day was capturing their breathtaking smiles and playful nature! The magnificent curls in Rachel’s long hair perfectly complimented her flowing white gown. The historic home and peaceful nature of the venue made this day totally unbeatable.
This fun couple will host their late September 2018 wedding at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland. I am excited to see how they will create their romantic, yet cozy wedding!
Thank you, Rachel and Richy for allowing me to capture your new love. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
