A day filled with marvelous greenery, rich colors, and the love of friends and family made this NOAH’s Event Venue wedding an unforgettable event.
Jane and Elliot met in 2008 during a mission trip they were both attending. The two did not see each other in a romantic way during this time, however, since they were simply just two young adults seeking to serve others. Little did they know, this small encounter would be the catalyst for the rest of their lives. Some time had passed since the trip, and Elliot had sparked a strong interest in Jane. He knew that she embodied every characteristic he wanted in his future wife. Jane spent upwards of a year kindly denying his requests, but soon realized Elliot may really be her forever love – she even had a dream about their future together! The two began dating after much prayer and peace, and their story of fate has been going ever since.
Elliot made things official while visiting family in California over Thanksgiving. It was the first time the two families were meeting, and Elliot knew this trip needed to be special. On the last day of their trip, he surprised Jane with a dinner reservation at a new restaurant in town. Knowing they would head to the airport after dinner, Jane thought nothing of it and dressed in her comfiest clothes. While driving to their date, Jane began to catch on that Elliot was quite nervous – he even had sweaty palms! Elliot detoured and drove Jane to Griffith Park, a special place the couple shared, as it was where they exchanged their first “I love yous.” He blindfolded her and walked her down a path to the exact spot that they both said those beautiful words. Upon arrival, Jane was greeted by a magnificent floral display and a crate arranged in the middle of the mountain area. As she sat down, her love asked her to marry him in the most romantic way!
Although their engagement was breathtaking, their wedding day was of course nothing short of spectacular! This event was filled with careful detail and appreciation for their loved ones. Guests were invited to an afternoon indoor ceremony at Korean United Methodist Church in Troy, Michigan. Sweet, soft petals and luscious florals filled the aisle of the church along with many of their family and friends. The ceremony was a very moving event, with those in attendance giving their love and respect for the couple and praying over their new adventure together. Being a part of this moment was truly an honor to witness!
After the ceremony, guests were invited to a grand reception off the church grounds, starting with a cocktail hour at NOAH’s Event Venue. Delicious hors d’oeuvres were served to all while enjoying the elegant ambiance of the venue. Formal dining tables displayed Pinterest-worthy decor while delicately hung drapes softened the room, making the reception that followed a simple, yet modern affair. Their choice to add touches of mauve, pinks, and neutral colors wonderfully set the tone for the event. Dancing, toasts, and exquisite food turned Jane and Elliot’s wedding day into a dream.
To begin their married life, Jane and Elliot are planning to enjoy life’s small moments like living and growing old together. The two love to watch movies, travel, eat, and play with their cute pup!
Jane and Elliot – Thank you for making this trip to Michigan one for the books. Your wedding was absolutely amazing, and I cannot wait to see how your love story continues!
